This Award is presented by the fishing committee to the angler that accumulates the most points for fish that are 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place final winners at the end of the contest in December. A plaque is displayed in the clubhouse with past winners.
FISHING TOURNAMENT RULES
1. BOUNDARIES :Long Island Sound. :Western-Throgs Neck Bridge. :Eastern-Plum Island to Race Point.
2. ELIGIBILITY a. Any person who is in good standing at MYC.
b. Contestant must purchase a $10.00 Fishing Button. Note: NO FISH TO BE WEIGHED IN PRIOR 48 HOURS OF BUTTON PURCHASE.
c. Any child under the age of 18 years of a member in good standing who is also a Contestant in the Fishing Tournament with the following conditions: c1. Child must purchase a $10.00 Fishing Button. c2. Child must abide by the rules of the tournament.
3. INELIGIBILITY: a. Any person who becomes in bad standing at MYC.
b. Any child of a contestant who becomes in bad standing at MYC. NOTE: When a contestant becomes in bad standing, his child will be dropped from the contest, along with the contestant.
c. All fish to be caught on a rod and reel or hand lines.
d. Contest subject to fish listed on board at clubhouse.
4. WEIGH IN: a. All fish must be weighed in at MYC clubhouse.
b. Digital scale only.
c. Must be signed by AUTHORIZED PERSONAL ( Committee Member, Bartender, Morning, Custodian)
d. Alternate weight in at Lou's Bait and Tackle in the event scale at MYC is broken. Must bring signed scale ticket and fish back to MYC.
e. All fish subject to inspection by Committee Member at any time.
5. WINNING CATEGORY: a. In the event of a tie, first recorded fish shall prevail.
b. It is the responsibility of every Contestant to make sure all rules are abided by.
